Michael "Mitchell" Ray Galyean

Mr. Michael “Mitchell” Ray Galyean, age 48, of Lambsburg, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018.  Mr. Galyean was born in Surry County on December 29, 1969 to Virginia Edwards Galyean and the late Walter Ray Galyean.  He was employed with Hanes Brand for over 20 years.  Surviving is a daughter, Tammy Austin; honorary daughters, Amber and Heather Robertson; a son, Morgan Galyean; honorary sons, James, Dennis, Justin and George Gaylean; a grandchildren, Maddox Austin, and Anastasia and Aliza Lineberry; his mother, Virginia Galyean; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Michael Wood, Pearl and David Bond, and Sarah Chidester; brothers, Joel, and Walter Galyean.  In addition to his father, Mr. Galyean was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Galyean.  The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
