Michael Joe Moxley

Mr. Michael Joe Moxley, 43, of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday morning at his home. He was born on December 25, 1977, in Galax, VA to Samuel “Sam” Kenneth Moxley and the late Juanita Kay Smith. He was in the trucking industry as long as his health permitted. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Kenneth Austin Moxley and fiancé Destiny Bottoms, and Michael Christian Moxley; his father and extra momma, Sam and Shirley Marie Moxley; sisters, Michelle Wright, Tabatha Aiken, and Stephanie Sexton; and his brothers, Richard Scott Moxley, Robert Lee Smith and Mikele Bruner. In addition to his mother, Michael was preceded in death by a sister, Shannon Sexton. The family will be having a graveside service for Michael on Saturday November 13, 2021, in Baywood, VA. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is assisting the Moxley family.
