Michael Phillip Seivers, Sr.

Mr. Michael Phillip Seivers passed to our Heavenly Father on October 14, 2023. He was born on April 11, 1951, in Surry County, to the late Henry Lee Seivers, Sr. and the late Lois Worrell Brinkley Seivers.

Michael was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Mount Airy Ward. He served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, and after being stationed in Germany was honorably discharged in 1972. Michael’s passion for business and sales led him on a remarkable journey. Over the years, he ventured into various businesses including trucking, roofing, landscaping and most of all making a mark internationally with his wife Kitty as a grower and distributor of leatherleaf fern in Costa Rica. In addition to his devoted love for his family and the Church, Michael enjoyed stock car racing, and telling amazing stories with a laugh no one will forget.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Katherine (Kitty) Hennis Seivers; his son Michael Phillip Seivers, Jr.; his daughter Angela Loissa Seivers; his sister Paulette Louise Seivers Logan. Michael is survived by his wife Jo Lynn Kaze; his former wife Patricia Pearson Willard; his daughter Michele Seivers McByers and her husband Craig, his son Zachary William Seivers and his wife Setu, and his daughter Katherine Elizabeth Fawcett Seivers Moosa and her husband Matthew; his grandchildren Omar, Cydney, Sahir, and Rishi; his brother Henry Lee Seivers, Jr. and his wife Lynn, his brother Gregory Lynn Seivers and his wife Janet, his sister Rebecca Seivers Smith and her husband Rick, his brother Keith Marlow Seivers and his wife Julie.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Oakdale Cemetery in Mount Airy, NC with Bishop Brian Johnson officiating. There will be no formal services held at the funeral home.
