Michael Preston Simpson

Mr. Michael Preston Simpson, 55, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, VA. He was born in Surry County on December 4, 1965, to the late, Mitchell and Linda East Simpson. Mr. Simpson was an electrical foreman at Johnson Modern Electric Company, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Tracy Bombe Simpson; daughters and sons-in-law, Katiee and Ryan Johnson, Alisha and Jason Stokes, Olivia Boyles; sons, Jess Simpson, and Justin Boyles; six grandchildren; brothers, Steve Simpson, and Joseph Simpson; a special cousin, Karen Simpson Lynch; Many special friends; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Spurlin officiating.
