Mickey Charles McMillian

Mickey Charles McMillian, 32, of Hamptonville, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born October 17, 1981, in Surry County, to the late Donald Gray and Doris Ann Jenkins McMillian. He was a wonderful son and brother. Mickey was a hero in the eyes of his family. He is survived by a sister, Sarah Frances McMillian of the home; a brother, Donald Douglas McMillian of Winston-Salem; two nieces, Amber Renee Martin of Mount Airy and Michelle Ann Gurley and her husband, John, of East Bend; and two nephews, Stephen Ray Meador and his wife, Leslie, of Mount Airy and Henry Gray Higgs and his wife, Patrice, of Boonville. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 3:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Ken Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 until 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
