Mrs. Mildred Stevens "Teasy" Hall, 81, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, and friend to all, of 617 McBride Road, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday morning, June 16, 2011, at Central Continuing Care. She was born June 30, 1929, in Surry County, to the late William Raymond and Susan Etta Hiatt Stevens. She was known for her quick wit and endearing humor. She was homemaker, a retired CNA, and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Detra Hall Baker of Mount Airy, Sandra Hall and her special companion, Dennis Arrington, of Mount Airy, and Jan and Trent Schuyler of Lowgap; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Barbara Hall of Walkertown; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Stuart and Angie Nichols, Andrea and Richard Rinaldi, Forrest Hall, Brandon and Ivonne Hall, Stacie and Chad Putman, Jason and Tara Jones, Bradley Hall, David Schuyler, and Madelyn Schuyler; ten great-grandchildren, Alix, Raven, Ashley, Emma, Esteban, Paul, Raylyn, Zach, Anna and Booth; a sister, Christine S. Hunter of Mount Airy; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Mary Laura Stevens of Swansboro. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jesse Robert "J.R." Hall; a grandson, Nathan Robert Jones; two sisters, Vera Hiatt and Cleo Stevens; and a brother, James Stevens. The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with Bishop Raymond Riska officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, "Fast Offering Fund", 249 Chatham Road, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
