Mildred Earline Cox Trivette

Mrs. Mildred Cox Trivette, age 92, of Mount Airy, received her new residence with her Lord and Savior on Saturday November 18, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born September 9, 1931, in Surry County to the late Bill and Myrtle Painter Cox.  She was the oldest living member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church, a place in which she loved dearly with her church family.  Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melba and Steve Hull, and David and Sandy Smith; stepchildren, Angela and Floyd Hicks, Michael and Sharon Trivette, and Al and Deborah Trivette; grandchildren, Tiffany and Scotty Bullins, Olivia and Hunter Snow, and Lillie and Madison Chilton; step grandchildren, Wendy and Jeremy Ray, Sarah and Brad Holder, and Suzanne and Dylan Giammalva; great grandchildren, Gracie Bullins, Tyde Snow, Finn Snow, and Baby Girl Chilton on the way; great step grandchildren, Levi Ray, Jacob Ray, Carmen Holder, Maggie Holder; sister, Katie Fleming; and her special fur baby, Snowball the poodle.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Trivette was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Ray Trivette; and a brother, Bud Painter.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 22, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy at 12:00pm with Brother Scotty Bullins and Dr. Jonathan Barker officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00am – 12:00pm.  The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at RidgeCrest Retirement and Senior Living Community and Mountain Valley Hospice for all of the love and support given to Grandma Trivette and her family during her stay.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, NC 27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
