Miss Amanda Swartzel "Beasley"

Miss Amanda Eva "Sweetpea" Swartzel "Beasley", age 39, of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015. She was born in Forsyth County on May 21, 1976 to Linda Slate Beasley and the late, Herman C. Swartzel. Never meeting a stranger, Sweetpea was immediately loved by everyone she met. She touched the lives of so many with her infectious charm and will be so deeply missed. She attended Bear Trail Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, "Sweetpea" is survived by a half-sister, Lynne Shonk; a step-sister, Mellissa Hiatt; a half-brother, Johnny Swortzel; step-brothers, Ricky Beasley and Benji Beasley; special friends, Elissa Flowers, "Brad" and many loving cousins. In addition to her father, "Sweetpea" was preceded in death by her step father, Glenn Beasley; a half-brother, Steve Swortzel; her grandparents and by an uncle Ricky Slate. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Timmy Crotts and Pastor Dale Pack. Burial will follow in Korner's Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special thanks to "Everyone" at Behavioral Services, Inc. for the wonderful care and love given to Sweetpea.
