Miss Eunice Ima Boyles

Miss Eunice Ima Boyles, age 103 of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Central Continuing Care. Miss Boyles was born in Patrick County on February 21, 1910 to George Luther and Mary Moss Boyles. She will be fondly remembered not only for her longevity but especially for her kind, loving heart and graciously helping anyone in need. Miss Boyles was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Surviving are eight nieces and nine nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Boyles was preceded in death by sisters, Ruvene Hiatt, Annie Boyles and Lenore Collins; brothers Julius Boyles, Elbert Boyles and Warren Boyles; two niece and six nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Rev. Josh Sechrist, Rev. Davis Love and Joseph Smith. Miss Boyles will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pedigo Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church Building Fund at 154 Mt. View Dr., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
