Miss Dorothy Marie Collins

Miss Dorothy Marie Collins, age 87 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Miss Collins was born in Surry County on December 22, 1924 to Noah Washington and Pearl Mae Hiatt Collins. She was retired from Spencer's Inc. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Collins was preceded in death by sisters, Louella Collins, Martha Hardy, Daisy Marshall, Elsie Burkhart and Bessie Moore and brothers, Delmar Collins, William Collins, Earnest Collins and Early Collins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Oakdale Cemetery by Rev. Bud Cameron.
