Miss Jordan Nicole Paquette

Jordan Nicole Paquette, age 17 of Penhook, died on Thursday morning, August 25, 2016. She was born on November 11, 1998. She was a 2016, one year early, graduate of Franklin County High School, and inductee of the U.S. Navy where she had planned to become an air traffic controller. She was a Red Cross Blood Donor. Jordan was a kind, caring, energetic, loving ray of sunshine who consistently put others before herself. She was described by all who met her as the most well-mannered, respectful young lady with an “old soul”. She never met a stranger and showed compassion beyond her young age. With an intoxicating laugh, she would make everyone around her feel at ease. Her friends looked up to her small 5’2” frame and believed in her abilities and strengths to make a difference in the world. She was quick-witted, humorous, wise with her advice, never embarrassed easily and was open to new ideas. She truly lit up the room with her presence and smile, and when she loved, she loved whole-heartedly, never holding back.

Jordan leaves behind her mother, Pamela Nicole of Penhook, and father, Andrew Lee of St. Anne, Illinois; siblings, Sgt. Hayley Katelynn Myroup, Marine Air Station, Yuma, Arizona; Jacob, Michael, Gabriel, Elizabeth and Brendan Paquette of St. Anne, Illinois; grandparents, Jack and Betty Horton of Patrick Springs, Norman and Earline Paquette, St. Anne, Illinois; aunt, Priscilla Marshall, Colorado Springs, Colorado; uncle, Jack Shane Horton of Patrick Springs; as well as many extended family and friends.
Being pretty and beautiful are two different things. When someone is pretty, that means they have a nice appearance. When someone is beautiful, it shines from the inside out. Gorgeous is a mixture of both. Our Jordan was gorgeous and we all will try to follow in her light.
