Miss Beulah Sutphin

Miss Beulah Sutphin, age 87 of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living. Miss Sutphin was born in Surry County on February 24, 1926 to Mason and Etta Young Sutphin. She was always kind and loving and will be dearly missed. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Janie Sutphin and several nieces and nephews including a special niece and caregiver, Carolyn Flippin. In addition to her parents, Miss Sutphin was preceded in death by sisters, Claudia Payne and Mildred Hiatt and brothers, Early "Buck" Sutphin and Ray Sutphin. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home by Rev. Barry Clement. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
