Miss Alice Mae Ward

Miss Alice Mae Ward, of Lambsburg, VA passed away at her home, Sunday, December 31, 2017. She was born in Carroll County, to the late Bert C. and Della Bobbitt Ward. Miss Ward retired from the Carroll County School System after over thirty years of service; and she was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by a sister and brothers-in-law, Bernell and Raymond Holder, and Charles Hawks; sister-in-law, Eunice Ward; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Ward was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Taylor and Kathleen Hawks; a brother, Ralph Ward; niece, Jenny Hawks; and a nephew, Mike Taylor. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Israel Easter officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
