Monica Lea Donathan Inscore

Monica Lea Donathan Inscore of 12 Oaks, Mount Airy, gained her angel wings Saturday, June 3^rd, 2023, after a short battle with Leukemia.  Monica was a 1979 graduate of Mount Airy High School and attended Surry Community College.  Monica was known for her beautiful personality and many years as a hostess for Ray’s Starlite.  In addition, Monica was a talented musician.  She is survived by her mother, Peggy Donathan of Mount Airy; a daughter, Aubrey Isaacs and husband Adam.  Two sisters, Phyllis and Michael Venable, Teresa and Jim Lewis, all of Mount Airy.  Grandchildren, Katelyn Tate and Jonathan Tate of Virginia.  Nieces and nephew, Michael and Alie Brannock of Charlotte, NC, Kendra Garaventa and Tyson Clabo of Mount Airy, and Shaunda Venable of Mount Airy.  She was predeceased by her father, Monroe Turner Donathan, II  Also she had several great nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 8, 2023, at 3:00pm in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Jon Cawley officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 until 3:00pm.  Burial will follow in the Midkiff Family Cemetery.  Special thanks to 12 Oaks, doctors and staff of Northern Regional Hospital and Forsyth Hospital.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to LLS – Charlotte C/O Mike Brannock, PO Box 231, Mount Airy, NC 27030 or to the Surry Humane Society, 230 Fredrick St., Mount Airy, NC 27030.
