Mr. Adam John Beamer

Mr. Adam John Beamer age 92 of 212 Beamer Road, Mt. Airy, NC widower of Mrs. Connie Mae Hemmings Beamer passed away at his home on Saturday, October 29, 2011. He was born February 24, 1919 in Surry County, NC to the late Luther and Mary Nail Beamer. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII, was a retired farmer and was of the Methodist Faith. Surviving is a grandson Darrell Beamer and wife, Tori Mt. Airy, two granddaughters and husband, Deanna and Jimmy McHone, Mt. Airy, and Christine Bissette, Raleigh, Five-great grandchildren, Kacey Beamer, Drew Beamer, Jake Beamer, Jacob McHone and Ellie McHone and a daughter in-law Diann Beamer of Mt. Airy. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Beamer was preceded in death by a son Jack Beamer and a daughter, Nancy B. White. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Maple Grove United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Sam Holder and Chaplain Herbert Joyce with the American Legion Post 123. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund or to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane Suite 200, Mt.
