Mr. Alan Lane Love

Mr. Alan Lane Love age 49 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday morning, September 7, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Love was born February 7, 1966 in Surry County to Ted A. Love and Judy Bateman Love Wilson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Love is survived by his grandmother, Mildred Opal Bateman of Ararat, VA; five aunts, Carolyn Woodruff of Mt. Airy, Lavonda Kirkman of Ararat, VA, Mildred Martin of Stuart, VA, Sharon Quesenberry of Ararat, VA, and Janet Inman of Mt. Airy; two uncles, Lonnie Bateman of Mt. Airy, and Lee Bateman of Ararat, VA; several cousins and nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Joey Harris of Mt. Airy. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his step-father, Monte Jay Wilson; a grandfather, Donald Bateman; and his grandparents, Alvis and Pearlie Love. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Homer Bowman officiating. Family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy on September 9, 2015 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
