Mr. Allen Dennis Harrison

Mr. Allen Dennis Harrison, age 65, of Dobson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, after an extended illness. He was born in Surry County on August 3, 1946 to the late Garnie and Edna Lucas Harrison. He was retired from Cross Creek Apparel and of the Baptist faith. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 46 years, Linda Long Harrison of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Arleen and Kevin Wagoner of Pilot Mountain and Lisa and Michael Tate of Mount Airy, five beloved grandchildren, Brandon Tate, Corey Tate, Dylan Wagoner, Ryan Wagoner and Kaylee Wagoner; two brothers, Neal and wife Alice Harrison of Westfield, Lee Harrison of Texas; a sister-in-law, Patricia Harrison of Dobson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by two sisters, Hope Capps and June Hawks; two brothers, Douglas Harrison and Edwin "Bucky" Harrison and a grandson, Jared Wagoner. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Welcome View Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Burton and Rev. Marty Reece with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friend at the church from 1 pm until time for the service and other times at his home at 192 Taterwagon Trail. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home and to the many family members and friends for their act of kindness.
