Mr. Amos Neal Bowman

Mr. Amos Neal Bowman, 57 of Meadows of Dan passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 13, 1957, in Carroll County, VA to the late Ray and Verona Bowman. He spent his working time farming and his leisure time trout fishing with his loved ones. Surviving are his fiancée, Michelle Fulp; sons, Neal Bowman and Nick Bowman; a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Travis Akers; grandson, Chase Akers; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Danny Hughes and stepmother, Dorothy Bowman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Suthin and a brother, Gary Bowman, Sr. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home in conducted by Pastor Keith Bischer. Burial will follow at the Young Cemetery on Pilot View Rd in Meadows of Dan. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
