Mr. Arthur Rex Gordon

Mr. Arthur Rex Gordon, age 75 of Pilot Mountain, died April 9, 2014, from complications of Dementia. Mr. Gordon was born to Vester and Thelma Gordon on March 19, 1939. He was a retired farmer and truck driver, a Lifetime member of Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church and a charter member of South Westfield Ruritan Club. Surviving are his wife of fifty two years, Nancy Cooke Gordon; sons and daughter-in-law, Arthur Rex Gordon, Jr. and Cheryl Gordon of Birmingham, AL; Scott Gordon and Carrie Ward Hanneman of Thomasville; grandchildren, Ethan, Katie, Nathan and Logan; nieces, Frankie and Gene Taylor, Patsy and Mark Spencer and Tammy and Mark Rodgers; nephews, Dwight and Kim Durham and David and Patti Durham. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gordon was preceded in death by a sister, Dana McCraw. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church by Rev. Douglas Brinkley and Rev. Jennie Leake Hemrick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night at the church from 6:00 to 8:00.
