Mr. Arthur Mitchell Hitt

Arthur Mitchell Hitt passed away peacefully on Tuesday 4/25/2017 in Roanoke VA. Art lived a busy life raising his family and running his logging business, Northern Timber Services that he started in 1979. Art enjoyed the outdoors and animals of all kinds. He'll be remembered as a kind, loving and giving man who was always there to help anyone in need. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin Hitt and Phoebe Hitt.

Mr. Hitt is survived by his wife Laureen Hitt (Critz, VA); his three daughters Joy Hitt (Delhi NY), Alysha Hitt (Collinsville VA), and Chelsey Hitt (Boston MA); his three sons, Jason Hitt (Cilo, MI), Andrew Holmes (Queensbury NY), and Randy Holmes (Salem NY); his grandchildren Teddi Jo Robinson (Hobart NY), Jordan Robinson (San Francisco, CA), Justin Hitt (Bainbridge NY), and Charleen Hitt (Orlando FL); his sisters Rose Grant (Stamford NY) and Marian Kosier (Lakeland FL); his brothers Larry Hitt (Delhi NY) and Leroy Hitt (Stamford NY).
