Mr. Arvil Monroe Brendle

Mr. Arvil Monroe Brendle, age 97 of Dobson, NC, went home to his Savior on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born April 15, 1919 in Surry County to the late William Rufus Brendle and Laura "Ada" White Brendle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Fairy Victoria Hutson Brendle, son and daughter-in-law Jay and Lana Brendle. He was also preceded by his sister, Callie Mae Brendle Poindexter and his brothers, James Kerney Brendle and Carly Eugene Brendle. Mr. Brendle had retired from Chatham Manufacturing, Brendle's Department Store, as well as Northwestern Bank, and was the eldest living member of Dobson First Baptist Church.

Mr. Brendle is survived by a son, Ivey Grey Brendle; grandchildren, Gina Brendle Kim, Jayme Brendle Holt, and Neil and Carrie Brendle; great grandchildren, Morrison Brendle, Erin Brendle, Ava Brendle, Andrew Brendle and Charlotte Brendle.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 2-4 PM at Dobson First Baptist Church. The service will follow with Rev. Cory Honeycutt officiating and interment will be in Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery.
