Mr. Barry Gene Simmons

Mr. Barry Gene Simmons, age 43 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born in Patrick County on January 1, 1967, and was preceded in death by his father, Larry Simmons. He was an electrician and a member of Harvest Worship Center.
Mr. Simmons is survived by one son, Barry "David" Simmons of Hamptonville, North Carolina; and his mother, Brenda Rakes Myers of the home.
Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor David Coleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Rakes-Martin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
