Mr. Billy Lee Haynes

Mr. Billy Lee Haynes, age 62 of Woolwine, Virginia passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his home. He was born in Henry County on July 29, 1954 to the late William Leftwich Haynes and Beulah Bledsoe Haynes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Brammer Haynes. Billy enjoyed playing guitar and spending time on his farm, working his garden and tending his animals.

Mr. Haynes is survived by his son, William Brent Haynes (Dayna Burton Haynes) of Forest, VA; his daughter, Shannon Brooke Haynes (Darran Johnson) of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Trenton Haynes, Parker Haynes, Ethan Haynes and Teagan Johnson; siblings, Virginia Barker of Patrick Springs, VA, Faye Hayes of Danville, VA, Deanie Campbell of Danville, VA, Marie Richardson of Danville, VA, Bobby Haynes, Sr. of Martinsville, VA, Rhonda Collins of Danville, VA, and Hazel Motley of Axton, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Haynes will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Sycamore Baptist Church at 12:00 pm with Pastor Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Harmon Homestead Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, VA 24171 or to Sycamore Baptist Church, c/o Nancy Midkiff, Treasurer, 171 Sycamore Church Lane, Stuart, VA 24171.
