Mr. Billy Franklin Hudspeth went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 3, 2015. Mr. Hudspeth was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his wife Lois Hudspeth of the home; his son, Billy Hudspeth of the home; his daughter-in-law Rebecca Hudspeth of the home; his grandchildren, Aaliyah of the home, Oliviyah and Summer Hudspeth, of the home; his brothers, Larry Hudspeth of Jonesville and Charley Hudspeth of Yadkinville; his mother-in-law, Peggy Collins of State Road. Mr. Hudspeth was a very dedicated and loving father, husband, grandfather and friend. Mr. Hudspeth was a very hard worker. He was employed with Perdue Farms in Elkin for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved to fish. Mr. Hudspeth was a very wise man that believed in being a friend to all and will truly be missed by many. The family would like to thank everyone that surrounded them in prayers and kind words during Mr. Hudspeth's battle with cancer. A very special thank you and appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice of Elkin. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 2 pm at Charity Methodist Church of the Austin-Traphill area. The family is accepting visitors at their home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
