Mr. Billy Ray Jones

Mr. Billy Ray Jones, 83, of Westfield, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Stokes County on October 14, 1930 to the late Charlie and Ada Wilson Jones. Mr. Jones was retired from Bassett Furniture and was a member of Woodville Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Jim Thomas of Westfield; a son and daughter-in-law, Rickie Ray Jones and Donna Mankins of Ararat, VA; grandchildren, Sarah Jones, Joshua Jones and Tommy Jones; step grandchildren, Kevin Puckett and wife Heather, Denise Lubliner and husband Jason; great grandchildren, Trent Cooke, Rebekah Moss, Gabriel Moss and Wesley Jones; step great grandchildren, Kash Puckett, Nicholas Lubliner and Lincoln Puckett; special nieces that Mr. Jones raised as his own children, Faye Tate, Mary Goins, Nellie Kilby and Betty Goins; a brother, Joe Bob Jones of King. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Edwards Jones; a brother, Robert Jones. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Love officiating. Burial will follow in Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy and other times at Bill's home 183 Jims Trail, Westfield, NC 27053.
