Mr. Billy "Dean" Jones, Jr

Mr. Billy "Dean" Jones, Jr., 50, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Surry County on September 4, 1963 to Cressie Fern Thomas and the late Billy Dean Jones. Mr. Jones was the former Plant Manager at Kentucky Derby and was a member of Christ Community Church. He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Jones of the home; and a step daughter, Dee Benton of Union, SC and his mother, Cressie Fern Marion. In addition to his father, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Denise White Jones. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Brady officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
