Mr. Billy "Bill" Payne

Mr. Billy "Bill" Payne, age 83, of Dobson, North Carolina passed away at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy on Saturday August 15, 2015. He was born in Surry County on July 24, 1932 to the late William Manley and Jennie Wood Payne. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his loving wife of fifty four years Mrs. Dorethea Louise "Toby" Payne; infant sister Magdalene Payne, two sisters Arabella Seal and Lavern Hodges. Mr. Payne was the owner operator of Central Adult Care in Mt. Airy and started his work in long term care in 1966. He and his wife with their two sons started Central Continuing Care, he and his brother-in-law Harold Hodges started Central Adult Care and Colonial Adult Care Facilities in Mount Airy. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was a faithful member of Central View Missionary Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. Surviving are his two sons and daughter-in-law Mark and Kimberly Payne of Dobson, David and Anita Payne of Dobson; four grandchildren Brandi and Stephen Robertson, Kyle Payne, Dalton Payne, Dara Payne; one great-grandchild Bailey Robertson; one sister and brother-in-law Nell and Mac Sexton of Dobson; one brother and sister-in-law Benton and Barbara Payne of Albemarle, NC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 18, 2014 2:00 P.M. at Central View Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends at Central View Missionary Baptist Church on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Payne body be at the Church on Tuesday to lie in state 30 Min. Before the Services. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Payne family.
