Mr. Brian Tyler Johnson

Mr. Brian Tyler Johnson, age 43, of Lowgap, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday February 3, 2014. He was born in Surry County on January 7, 1971 to Douglas Michael, Sr. and Charlotte Jean Reece Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a devoted husband, father and a member of Salem Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of five years, Lori Yvonne Butcher Johnson, of the home; three sons, Tyler Adam Johnson, Bailey Michael Johnson, both of Mount Airy and Parker Brian Johnson, of the home; a step-daughter, Emily Tate, of the home; his father and step-mother, Douglas Michael, Sr. and Patsie C. Johnson, of Mount Airy; his mother Charlotte Jean Reece Johnson, of Pilot Mountain; two brothers, Petty Officer 1st Class, Douglas Michael, Jr., (currently stationed in Afghanistan) and wife Tammy Johnson of Pilot Mountain; Marty Wayne and wife Bryanna Johnson, of King; step sister Robin and husband Myless Hooper of Lexington ; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Evelyn Butcher of Lowgap; a brother-in-law, Kevin and wife Tammy Butcher of Pilot Mountain; maternal grand-parents, Virgil and Mary Kranking of Pilot Mountain; several nieces and nephews; numerous friends including his special friends and family at Lowgap Grill. He was preceded in death by his paternal grand-parents, Delmer and Alice Johnson; his step grand-parents, Joe and Hulda Edmonds. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Salem Baptist Church by Dr. Bobby Lewis and the Rev. Lee Johnson with burial to follow in Turkey Ford Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Salem Baptist Church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
