Mr. Brockley Lee "Brock" Frye

Mr. Brockley Lee “Brock" Frye, 79 of Mt. Airy passed away at Northern Hospital of Surry County on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Mr. Frye was born in Surry County on January 18, 1936 to the late Edgar Roscoe and Elza Adkins Frye. He retired in 1984 as owner and operator of Granite City Floor Covering due to declining health. Mr. Frye is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Love Frye; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Cheryl Frye; a grandson, Travis Frye and wife, Nikki; a foster daughter, Alicia Epperson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Winfred and Robbie Frye, Ernest Gayle and Vicky Frye; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Frye; a special niece, Lisa McGrew; special friends, Buddy Monday and Otis Root. In addition to his parents, Mr. Frye was preceded in death by two brothers, James A. “Jimmy" Frye and Grady “Smiley" Frye. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Bannertown Baptist Church with Rev. Mickey Cogdill officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Grove Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
