Mr. Bruce Clark Boyd, Sr

Mr. Bruce Clark Boyd, Sr., age 66 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Boyd was born in Surry County on September 12, 1947 to Robert Lee Boyd, Sr. and Helena Joyce Tesh Boyd. He was a loving husband, father and brother who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. Mr. Boyd was retired from L. S. Starrett Co. Surviving are his wife, Sheila Tate Boyd; sons, Bruce Clark Boyd, Jr. and wife Georgia and Michael Lee Boyd; a step daughter, Cee-Jay Reece and husband Brian; step sons, Chris Vaughn and Adam Vaughn and wife April; step grandchildren, Dustin, Kirsten, Alyssa and Gracelyn and brothers, Robert Boyd, Jr. and David Boyd. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Tate and Rev. Joey Baron. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
