Mr. Bruce Charles Pettus

Mr. Bruce Charles Pettus, 76, of Pinnacle passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. He was born in Mecklenburg County on April 7, 1939 to the late Hugh Francis and Della Leach Pettus. Mr. Pettus was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served as a leader with Boy Scout Troop 545 of Pilot Mountain for many years; and retired from Pike Electric. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Judy Gail Norman Pettus; three sons, Charles Michael Pettus and wife, Paula, Gregory Scott Pettus, and Jimmy Alan Pettus and wife, Dawn; grandchildren, Charles Benjamin Pettus and wife, Abby, Brandie Nichole Pettus, Kobe Scott Pettus, Camryn Sierra Pettus, Conrad Spencer Pettus, Sarah Michelle Pettus, Nathan Joseph Pettus and Rachel Catherine Pettus; great grandchildren, Emma Brooke Pittman, Charles Dalton Pettus and Robert Chase Pettus; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye and R.J. Lewis; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Louise Pettus and Eugene "Jeep" and Loretta Pettus. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pettus was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred and a brother, Joe. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, July 27, 2015 at Skyline Memory Gardens with Tom Glass officiating.
