Mr. Burton Daniel Conner

Mr. Burton Daniel Conner, age 63 of Stuart, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was born in Patrick County on May 17, 1952 to the late Franklin Pierce Conner and Dorothy Trudy Hooker Conner. In addition to his parents, Mr. Conner was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Butcher. He worked with the Maintenance Department for Patrick County, loved his land and farming, and was always helping his neighbors. He was a volunteer firefighter and operated the fire plow for the Forestry Service.

Mr. Conner is survived by one daughter, Kiley Lynn Conner of Stuart; four grandchildren, Roy Scott, Frank Scott, Lane Scott and Daniel Conner; a special granddaughter Payton Purdy, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Shirlene and Leon Fain of Stuart and Betty Conner of Stuart; a brother and sister-in-law, Herbert and Tina Conner of Stuart; a brother-in-law, Douglas Butcher of Mount Airy, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and his fiancé, Lisa Hylton of Stuart and her daughters, Kimmy and Kristina.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
