Mr. Carva Bealey "Sonny" Jones

Mr. Carva Bealey "Sonny" Jones age 80 of 268 Chatham Road, Mt. Airy, NC husband of Mrs. Louise Hawks Jones passed away Tuesday morning, June 26, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 7, 1931 in Surry County to the late Carva Benton and Sadie Cook Jones. He was retired from Unique Furniture Company and was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Louise H. Jones of the home, two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joe Santucci, Kernersville, Patty and Rick Santucci, Pilot Mountain, four grandchildren and a wife, John and Tammy Smith, Pinnacle, Eddie Smith, Greensboro, Nina and Lydia Santucci both of Pilot Mountain, four great grandchildren, James Smith, Abigail Smith and Gabriel Smith all of Pinnacle and Chase Smith, Greensboro. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Holder, Jacqueline Jones, Ernestine Jones and four brothers, Vestal Jones, Vertice Jones and Coy Jones and an infant brother. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gilbert Hawks and Rev. Larry Jones. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 12:30 pm Thursday until time of the funeral service at Moody Funeral Home. .
