Mr. Cecil Ray Cassady

Mr. Cecil Ray Cassady, age 70 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. He was born in Patrick County on January 1, 1945 to the late Richard Lee and Edna Haley Cassady. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cassady was preceded in death by a brother, Stafford Cassady and a sister, Norma Jean Collins. He had retired from Nationwide Homes as a transportation director. He was a devoted family man and loving grandfather.

Mr. Cassady is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lettie Corns Cassady of the home; one son, Reggie Cassady and fiancé, Samantha Beavers of Henry; two grandsons, David Lee Cassady and Easton Cecil Cassady; one sister, Marjorie Cassady Stowe of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Corns Family Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Cecil Ray Cassady Memorial Fund, c/o Moody Funeral Home, P.O. Box 307, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
