Mr. Cecil Ray Jessup

Mr. Cecil Ray Jessup age 71 of 539 Jessup Forrest Dr., Ararat, VA passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born May 5, 1941in Patrick County to the late Clyde Cecil and Betty Mae Delionback Jessup. Mr. Jessup attended Blue Ridge School and was retired from United Technology after 30 years of service. He was a member of Unity Church. Surviving are four sisters and a brother-in-law, Doris and Sammy Scales, Ararat, VA, Frances Kay Walsh, Ararat, VA, Betty Johnson, Mt. Airy, NC and June Lewis, San Diego, CA, and three brothers and three sisters-in-laws, Billy Gray and Joan Jessup, Miami,. FL, John Edward and Hazel Jessup, Leon and Gail Jessup, all of Ararat, VA In addition to his parents, Mr. Jessup was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Elmo and Ruby Jessup. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Joseph Easter. Burial will follow in the Hunters Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Moody Funeral Home . Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.
