Mr. Charles Clinton Cave, age79, of 243 Martha Lowe Road, Lowgap, NC husband of Mrs. Ethel Combs Hawks Cave passed away Monday night, January 5, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born September 9, 1935 in Surry County to the late William Hiram and Dessie Mae Jennings Cave.. He attended Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Ethel C. Cave of the home, daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda Gilley of Bassett, VA, Carrie and Billy Jenkins of Knoxville, TN, Teresa and Rance Boyd of Ferrum, VA, Carla and Mark Williams of Benton, AR, a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Elaine Cave of Collinsville, VA, three step daughters and sons-in-law, Orene Hawks, of Lowgap, Opal and Jesse Edwards of Lowgap, Faye and Bill Spencer of Lowgap, two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Wavern Hawks of Lowgap and Michael and Frances Hawks of Yadkinville, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 18 Step Grandchildren, 38 step great grandchildren, a sister, Blanche Whitt of Dobson, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Travis and Margaret Cave of Mt. Airy, Edward and Ivagene Cave of Dobson, and Britt and Betty Cave of Mt. Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cave was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Mae Hawks Cave, a daughter Sherry Hodges, two sisters, Carrie Esther Cave, and Frances Freeman and two brothers, Herman Cave and Otis Cave. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by Elder Arwood Edwards and Elder V.J. Hawks . Burial will follow in the Susie Hawks Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at Moody Funeral Home.
