Mr. Charles William Willard

Mr. Charles William Willard, age 65 of Sandy Ridge, NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013. He was born in Stokes County, NC on April 7, 1948 to the late William Chester Willard and Clara Bell Pack Willard. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Sue Holt Willard; a son, Michael Lawson; one sister, Mabel Wilson; two brothers, Wallace and Roy Willard; and a half sister, Betty Anthony. He had attended Meadows Baptist Church; was a member of the 11th Hour Gospel Group; and volunteered at the Food Bank at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church. He liked helping everybody, would give anything that he had, was true to his faith and loved serving his Lord and Savior.
Surviving are three daughters and sons in law; Cookie and Billy Gibson of Eden, NC, Tracy and Jerome McBride Sandy Ridge, NC, Sarah Willard of Sandy Ridge, NC; seven grandchildren, Josh Lawson, Tashia Cobbler, Tabitha Fulton, Cody, Courtney, and Austin Willard, Gage Gibson; nine great grandchildren, Gage Lawson, Shine, Ethan, and Tyler Cobbler, Aidan and Bella Fulton, Leia Cobbler, Ellyssa Willard, Baby Wilson; two brothers, Louis Willard of Dobson, NC, Troy Willard of Mocksville, NC; a half brother, Reid Goins of Danbury, NC; a half sister, Myrtle Gravely of Mt. Airy, NC; a special cousin, Charles Goad of Lawsonville, NC and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at 7 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his daughter, Tracy McBride, 1160 Amos Ridge Rd., Sandy Ridge, NC 27046.
