Mr. Clarence E. Boyd

Mr. Clarence E Boyd, age 89 of Ararat, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 08, 2014 at his home. Mr. Boyd was born in Patrick County on September 6, 1925 to George Bryant and Rosa Lee Barnard Boyd. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy and was such a kind and gentle man who will be dearly missed by his son, his family and many friends. Surviving are a son, Robert Boyd; grandsons, Thomas Boyd and Bryant Boyd; a sister and brothers-in-law, Mary and Jerry Ervin and Bud Wood; brothers and sisters-in-law, H. D. and Ginny Boyd, Robert and Ocie Boyd, Arthur and Pauline Boyd and Linda Boyd and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Lee Johnson. Burial will follow in Boyd Family Cemetery with military honors by the VFW Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.
