Mr. Clarence Odell Wilson

Mr. Clarence Odell Wilson, age 90 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Central Continuing Care. Mr. Wilson was born in Stokes County on May 2, 1924 to Sandy and Hessie Cain Wilson. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was retired from Proctor Silex. Mr. Wilson was a faithful member of Bannertown Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Geneva Barker Wilson; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Robert Norman; a son, Jeff Wilson; a granddaughter, Shannon Ray and husband, Dr. Brian Ray; great grandchildren, Drayden Ray, Meredith Ray, Grayson Ray and Taygan Ray and a brother, Johnny Wilson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by sisters, Ercell Wright, Dana Beasley, Bonnie Atkins and Irene Cox and by a brother, Rayno Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Bannertown Baptist Church by Rev. Mickey Cogdill. Entombment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
