Mr. Clifford Alvin Millner, Sr. age 63, of Lowgap, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. He was born in Grayson County, Virginia on December 14, 1951 to the late Sidney and Alma Gray Ballard Millner. Mr. Millner was a self- employed mechanic and a dedicated member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Lambsburg, Virginia. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of forty years, Mrs. Shirley Dixon Millner, of the home; two sons, Wally and John Millner; two daughters-in-law, Maria and Amanda Millner, all of Lowgap; four beloved grandchildren, Blake "Tater Bug" Millner, Abby Millner, Colt Millner and Kennedy Millner; two sisters, Marie Wright of Mount Airy and Dee Dee Tolbert and her fiancé, Randy Ashby of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Deon Millner, of Lynchburg, Virginia; his special canine companion, Baby girl "Monkey". In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Toby Millner and his Granny Moxley, who he dearly loved. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Holly Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Ivan Beck and the Rev. Lorne Bryant with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the family.
