Mr. Clinton Lee Hunt, 72, of Dobson went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Robeson County on December 22, 1939 to the late Mary Hunt Collins. Mr. Hunt retired from Wayne Farms after twenty nine years of service and also drove a school bus for the Surry County School System, which he loved dearly. He leaves to cherish his memory, four loving daughters, Sheila and husband Alvin McIver of Fayetteville, Judith and husband Howard Brim of Mount Airy, Sharon and husband Stephen Daus of Ararat and Patricia and fiancé Jeff Martin of Siloam; one son, Richard Hunt and fiancé, Donna Whitley of Salisbury; five grandchildren, Alvin Edward McIver, III, Levi Dylan Daus, Ali Lynn Daus, Summer Elizabeth Haywood and Anna Lee Haywood; his companion of thirty three years, Myrtle Bullin and her son, Jeff Gwyn; very special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hagwood and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Holyfield. Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Ree Ranson Hunt; his mother, Mary Hunt Collins; five sisters and six brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Burton, Mr. Paul Bunke and Mr. Donnie Davis with burial to follow in Charity Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 to 8 pm. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Road Dobson NC 27017. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Eddie and Debbie Wilmoth and the staff of Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their loving can compassionate care.
