Mr. Daniel Leon Baliles

Mr. Daniel Leon Baliles, age 86 passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 at Whitestone in Greensboro, NC. He was born on Aug. 31, 1927 in Patrick County, VA to the late Daniel and Henrietta Vaughn Baliles. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Baliles Chinault; two sisters, Vada Branscome, Velva Gunter; and two brothers, Clarence and Claude Baliles. Mr. Baliles was WWII Navy veteran, a Mason, and a Shriner.
He is survived by his grandchildren and other special family members.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held Tuesday, July1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
