Mr. David Anderson Cromer

Mr. David Anderson Cromer, 66, of Pilot Mountain, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 1, 2018. Mr. Cromer was born in Davidson County on August 13, 1951 to Dallas Anderson Cromer and Lorraine Hicks Cromer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He was a retired automotive mechanics instructor from Surry Community College. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Pansy Thomas Cromer; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lyn and Derek Sparger, Lisa and Keith Collins, Michelle and Freddie Bond, and Lorine and Rob VanAernem; eight grandchildren, Amber Sparger, David Sparger, Fredrick and Ashley Bond, Amber Daniels, Megan Bond, Tammy McMillan, Taylor VanAernem, and Morgan Galyean; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dallas Cromer. Mr. Cromer was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Lorraine Cromer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy at 11:00 am with Rev. Ricky Spencer officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. The family would like to extend a very heart felt thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for all of the love and care given to Mr. Cromer during his illness.
