Mr. David Gordon Greene

Mr. David Gordon Greene, 77 of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. Mr. Greene was born in Morristown, TN on May 15, 1935 to the late Kyle and Phoebe Taylor Greene. He graduated from Morristown-Hamblen High School East in 1953. He graduated from Surry Community College with an Associate Degree in General Education. He was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church where he was past choir director and deacon. Mr. Greene is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Marty Reeves of Mt. Airy, Penny and Jim Hudson of Columbia, MD, Deborah Greene of Mt. Airy; two granddaughters, Amy Reeves and husband Curtis Elkins of Mt. Airy, Ciera Hudson of Columbia, MD. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 11, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. James Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in Emma Jarnagin Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
