Mr. David Junior Haynes

Mr. David Junior Haynes, age 82 of Cana, VA, passed away Sunday, March 01, 2015 at his home. Mr. Haynes was born in Carroll County on May 19, 1932 to David and Lucy Guynn Haynes. He was a lifetime orchardist, working for himself and also other orchardist throughout the community while he continued to work as a mechanic for Levering Orchard. Mr. Haynes loved his family and was always ready to help friends and neighbors as long as his health permitted, continuing to keep his fun sense of humor. Surviving are his loving wife of sixty years, Annie Marie Ayers Haynes; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Roger Haynes; Betty Jean "B.J."and Rev. Ed Bowman; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Merinda Haynes and Perry and Vickie Haynes; grandchildren, Rodney Haynes, Brandon Bowman, Bradlee Bowman, Stacey Haynes, David Haynes, Natalie Haynes; great grandchildren, Ryan Haynes, Rayne Haynes, Nevaeh Haynes; sisters, Ernestine Ayers and Virginia McMillian. In addition to his parents, Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by a sister, Opal McMillian. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Ed Bowman and Rev. Wayne Nelson officating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
