Mr. David Wayne Shelton Sr

Mr. David Wayne Shelton Sr., age 52, of Dobson, NC passed away on Sunday October 25, 2015 at his home unexpectedly. He was born in Surry Co. on February 13, 1963 to the late Johnny and Dorothy Wall Shelton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Larry Shelton and Frank Shelton. Surviving is his daughter Bambi Shelton and Tucker Spurrier of Dobson; son and daughter-in-law David Wayne Shelton Jr. and Haley Shelton of Dobson; one granddaughter Kylee Booker; four sisters and two brothers-in-law Beatrice Trivette of Boonville, Brenda Millsap and Wade Millsap of Elkin, Peggy Bost of Yadkinville, Kay Phillips and Max Phillips of East Bend; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Jake and Sue Shelton of Dobson, Ricky Shelton of Yadkinville, Randy and Kay Shelton of Danbury. The family is having a memorial service on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Spurlin and Deacon Jake Shelton conducting the service. After the memorial service the family will be receiving friends at the home of Chasity Baker. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is helping with the cremation of Mr. Shelton.
