Mr. David Willard

Mr. David Willard, 60, of Pilot Mountain passed away at his home Saturday, July 18, 2015. He was born in Patrick County, VA on December 9, 2015 to the late Tom and Nora Mae Anders Willard. Mr. Willard was a farmer and enjoyed the simple things in life. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Woods Willard; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Greg Tippett; sons, Wayne Willard and Joshua Dalton; ten grandchildren; god children, Katie Smith Goins, Angie Tussey, Mieke Reavis and Emmy Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Kenny Hamlett, Martha and Russell McBride, Sarah and Edward Niten; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Lee Willard, Pete and Mary Willard, Paul and Phyllis Willard and Mark and Penny Willard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by, sisters, Mary Alice Willard and Helen Jane Hill; and a brother, Donald Jewell. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at New Beginning Baptist Church, 1959 Bud Tilley Rd., Pinnacle, NC with Rev. Louis Martin officiating.
