Mr. David Rudolph Willard

Mr. David Rudolph Willard, age 83 of Stuart, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on May 4, 1930 to the late Irvin and Ima Hodges Willard. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Irene Nester Willard; and two sons, Frank and Mike Willard. He had retired from Stanley Furniture Industries with 47 years of service.
Mr. Willard is survived by two grandchildren, Adam Willard and Caitlyn Willard; three great-grandchildren, David Keith Willard, Eric Claude Willard and Julia Marie Willard; and three sisters, Ruth Hutchens and Sylvia Carol Lawson, both of Stuart and Shirley Clifton of Ridgeway.
Funeral services for Mr. Willard will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Hank Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Family Cemetery in Laurel Fork. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
