Mr. Dennis Wayne Easter

Mr. Dennis Wayne Easter age 58 of Cana, VA passed away Monday night, June 25, 2012 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Galax, VA on October 21, 1953 to the late Isaac Lester "Ike" and Ida Marie Gwyn Easter. Mr. Easter was a carpenter and attended Ararat Church of the Living God. He and his wife enjoyed visiting and playing music in nursing homes. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Kay Hawks Easter of the home, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kennis Eugene and Holly Easter of Cana; Jackie and Tasha Crotts of Richmond and Bradley Wayne Crotts of Lambsburg; a special daughter-in-law, Melanie Creed Quesenberry of Max Meadows; a special son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Melina Easter all of Cana; five grandchildren; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Linda Davis of Ararat, VA, Gloria Meadow of Ararat, Kathy and Craig Easter of Cana; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert "Bobby" and Annie Easter, Lonnie and Ludena "Helen" Easter all of Cana, and Marlie "Gene" Easter of Ararat; many loved nieces and nephews; great and great-great nieces and nephews . In addition to his parents, Mr. Easter was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Etta Mae Farris and Ella and Claucy Hawks; and a great nephew, Keagan Meadows. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Easter Family Cemetery in Cana by Rev. Albert Everidge. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy from 11:00 AM on Thursday until the time to leave for the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Moody Funeral Service, PO Box 1288, Mt.
