Mr. Donald Horace Perkins

Mr. Donald Horace Perkins, 67 of Ararat, VA passed away Monday, May 21, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Perkins was born in Radford, VA in Montgomery County on July 17, 1944 to the late Wilcher Jordan and Martha Bondurant Perkins. He was owner and administrator of Angel Hands Health Care in Greensboro. He is survived by a sister, Jo Slate of Claudville; nephews, Brad Slate and wife Mary, Gordon Slate and wife Lisa all of Claudville; two great nieces, Kayla and Lauren Slate both of Claudville; two great nephews, Cole and Wyatt Slate both of Claudville; a special friend, Leslie Westmoreland of King and the Westmoreland family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Slate. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 6:30 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in King with Pastor Carl Goodman and Pastor Randy Storz officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is assisting the Perkins family.
